Campaign Resource Pack

Help build the movement for community energy.

Published: 05.02.2026 ( a day ago )

The Senedd Elections this year is an opportunity for us to place community energy on the agenda of the next Welsh Government.

People in Wales are facing challenges. The changes to the energy system isn’t leading to cheaper bills, there is a lack of control over new energy projects, and the wealth from them isn’t being retained in Wales.

So lets change that. Instead, let’s embrace community energy, an alternative path where energy projects are developed and run by local communities, who keep the profits and decide how and where that money should be used. It gives people the ability to lower bills locally and reinvest profits to keep local community organisations open, or restore and purchase local buildings like pubs and shops.

How to use the pack
